You followin' me?

I write that title with my best 'inner black girl voice.'

Within the last couple weeks I have received facebook messages, text messages, comments on instagram, letters, and emails of those complimenting my blog.

I was looking through it today...

I'm kinda plain. Kinda to the point. & probably the most open about myself that I have ever been... which haven't really decided if that's a blessing or not. At this moment in time I feel as though it is.

When I began this blog, I thought of it more as a cyber journal for me. I thought of things that I have struggled with, things that I absolutely love and adore, and trials that I have conquered. I wanted it to be a place where others could relate... whether you are 10 or 80 years old, the point is realizing you are NEVER alone in this life.

I am... overwhelmed with the amount of compliments and love this blog has received. I even think that being overwhelmed is an understatement. For someone to like something I like, to understand my trial because they climbed that same mountain, to creating the same goals that make you a better you... its amazing to me.

There is no intention of becoming a famous blogger here... but EVERY intention to connect with the outside world. I'm not a counselor, song writer, journalist, how to girl, fashionista... I could go on. What I am is a person, who has feelings and who is not afraid to share them.

I am a girl who is more than overwhelmed by the love and support of my readers. I honestly cannot thank you guys enough. If I could run up to all of you and give you my best hug... you bet your bottom dollar I would. I just HAD to say thank you.. from the bottom of my heart.

Oh... I picked this picture so you could get a visual of how I look and feel when you compliment me on my voice about this crazy life.
I love you guys.

  1. Fantastic Kim! My purpose is the same; cyber journal, connect with others, and I would add personal growth to the list. Having a blog makes me feel like I have a purpose and am actually producing something worth while. You are human, but you are an extraordinary one! Your optimism is something that everyone should adopt and live by.
