Christmas morning... sorta.

Driving to Grandpa's house never gets old.

From the day I was born til now. A whole 22 years later. The smells are the same, the rolling hills, farm land, and waking up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee at 6 a.m.

As well as Grandpa's never ending idea of a shopping day for us, because he knows that's truly what makes us feel like a hundred bucks. His health wavers on every visit because of his diabetes, but grandpa never fails to impress or make his favorite granddaughters feel #1.

Not only was it Staci and I that felt like a hundred bucks... but also my Dad.

If you know my dad at all you would know that, in order, his favorite things are:

1. The Utah Jazz
2. Bob Seger (or as he calls him, Bobby.)
3. Cinnamon bears, bunnies, santa's, lips... annnnd drum roll please... peeps.
..he likes his sugar..

So along with the awesomeness of seeing my grandpa, we headed to Colorado to see the one and only Bob Seger. Now, let me explain to you the dying love my father has for this man... not in an awkward way, just the, I'm-going-to-cry-then-faint crazy fan way. The BEST comparison I can make is... You know my love for Taylor Swift? Or the love my sister, Shannon, has for Tim Mcgraw? Or even the love Staci has for owning her own ranch? That, my friends, is the kind of love my cute dad has for Bobby.

I'm telling you he was like a little boy on Christmas morning. He has waited his whole life... well maybe not his WHOLE life, but lets pretend it was his whole life because that makes the story more fun, to see Bob Seger in concert.

I have to tell you guys, I was not expecting what I expected. People smoking marijuana (its legal in Colorado) nuuuuts. But... I was not expecting Bobby to look like Santa Claus. My family died laughing because I was so confused as to why no one stood and clapped when he entered the stage, they all sat back and enjoyed a rock show. In my mind, 'This would not be how I would act if I saw Taylor.' -I'm just sayin. My dad explained to me that, that is a true concert. They just walk on stage and play their hearts out, and sing with every breath of air in their lungs.

With that being said, I apologize Bobby... You look great as Santa!! My family hopes to see you again.

xo. k.
